VPS5 Senior Project Officer

About your new role

The Senior Project Officer acts as the engine room for government funding programs. You aren't just "giving away money"; you are ensuring that public funds reach the right people, achieve specific policy goals, and are accounted for down to the last cent.

What you will need to exceed

• A deep understanding of the VPS grant lifecycle and the Victorian Government's financial management frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, persuasive written advice for a non-technical audience.
• Experience evaluating project feasibility, financial statements, and program outcomes.
• Ability to navigate sensitive political environments and influence outcomes through negotiation and collaboration.
• A commitment to the highest standards of probity and a track record of managing public funds responsibly.
• Advanced skills in Excel and experience using dedicated grant management software.

Must have

• Experience using SmartyGrants and Salesforce
